In memory of Vince Rath, founder of Optimum Retail Solutions we honor his legacy that began in 2014 and continued until his passing in September 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. His loss is deeply felt by family, and countless colleagues in the jewelry industry who were inspired by his dedication and integrity. Vince transformed ORS into a trusted partner for performance improvement and development, driven by his powerful vision to help jewelers reach their potential through strategy and people-focused leadership. Known for his remarkable strength of character, Vince was passionate about mentorship and devoted to guiding others on their path to success. 

Although Vince is no longer with us, his vision and leadership continue to guide ORS. His legacy lives on through a team of seven professionals who share his passion for development and his dedication to serving our clients. The strength of our company lies in our shared vision, combined talents, and decades of experience in the jewelry industry. The relationships and experiences you’ve built with ORS will not change—ORS continues.

Tim Glasgow joined Optimum Retail Solutions in 2016 with over 36+ years of professional jewelry experience at Mid to Senior level positions.  He began his career as an Assistant Manager with the Zale Corporation’s, Fine Jewelers Guild, later known as Bailey Banks and Biddle.  In that company, he continuously advanced from sales to store management to multi-unit supervision of key markets throughout the U.S.  Ultimately, he rose to the position of Sr. Director of Stores – East. In that role, he managed sales of more than $160M in 62 stores across 13 states.  Tim decided to return to the Philadelphia area to be closer to family and joined Helzberg Diamonds as the Regional Manager of that market where he was recognized as a consistent top performer.

 

Tim brings a unique perspective to Optimum Retail Solutions.  Over his career, Tim received world-class training and was mentored by some of the most successful executives in our industry.  He is well situated to provide effective, performance-based direction in a complex and evolving retail landscape.

Jack McDevitt  joined Optimum Retail Solutions in 2018 with over 40 years of experience as a Senior Retail Executive in the fine jewelry industry.  Jack has a diverse background in retail operations including financial strategy, merchandising, and P&L analysis. Jack has been successful in recruitment and development of top talent into results-oriented high-performers. He has a passion for operational excellence and exceeding profit objectives.   

 

Jack has strong business qualifications with an impressive track record of more than 40 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, business development and sales management.  He has a proven ability to successfully analyze an organization’s critical business requirements, identify deficiencies and initiate solutions.

Guy Kramer joined Optimum Retail Solutions in 2019.  Having over three decades of experience and success in progressive levels of management from single store to multi-store, to director of divisional operations, corporate budgeting and merchandise open-to-buy, Guy has developed the expertise to assist businesses large and small.  His outstanding skills in evaluating critical business deficiencies, creating viable plans and executing to success are most important to our process.  
 
With years of accomplishments as Director of Store Operations for Bailey Banks & Biddle, a $250M division of Zale Corp, he excels in P&L analysis and creative applications to improve profitability, store management processes and overall operations control.

Guy’s aptitude for proactive coaching and training with sales teams supports the applications of action plans and effective execution. Over the years, he has assembled many cohesive, well-trained management and sales teams, providing practical hands-on experience to day-to-day sales floor management, team development and instruction.

Dayna R. Brown, SHRM-SCP, is an accomplished leadership and human resources executive with more than two decades of experience in the fine jewelry industry, which includes four years as a trusted consultant to independent fine jewelry retailers. Her career spans senior regional and district leadership roles as well as advisory work, where she partners with organizations to strengthen people strategies, elevate leadership capability, and enhance the client experience.

Throughout her career, Dayna has guided multi-state retail portfolios and advised fine jewelry businesses on talent development, organizational effectiveness, and culture transformation. Renowned for her refined, people-centered approach, she specializes in leadership development, employee engagement, and ethical workforce practices within premium retail environments. Her work consistently aligns human capital strategy with brand integrity, craftsmanship, and service excellence.

As a SHRM-SCP–certified professional, Dayna brings a strategic, human-centered lens to every engagement, helping fine jewelry organizations build sustainable, high-performing cultures that support long-term growth and distinction in the luxury marketplace.

Jessica Toscano joined Optimum Retail Solutions in 2023 after a 30 year Career at Littman/ Fred Meyer Jewelers, with her past 23 years as Regional Sales Director. During her tenure, she supervised multiple units throughout the East Coast. As a leader she was able to build and cultivate high performing teams. She served on various focus groups, and conducted many sales and leadership trainings in her territory and at the company level. Jessica is an analytical thinker skilled at evaluating company and market data to continually identify new opportunities for growth. As a result, her territory consistently led in sales, KPI’s and special events, earning her numerous awards including Regional of the Year. Her vast sales and leadership experience make Jessica well suited to assist our ORS clients in achieving their objectives.

Susan Arlin joined ORS in 2025. Starting behind the counter with Littman Jewelers, Susan rose quickly through the ranks to Manager, and opened multiple new stores during their explosive growth era. It was there that she realized her passion for developing teams. She began her consulting career working with Kate Peterson at Performance Concepts. With over 20 years of experience in the consumer goods ecosphere, her expertise lies in leadership coaching, training, & staff development designed to improve overall business profitability, organizational health & staff retention. Susan holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior (MSOB). She is a Dale Carnegie graduate and is both DiSC® certified, and Caliper® certified.
